Description
Barone Pizzini Franciacorta Saten is the exaltation of the organic Chardonnay from the company. The Chardonnay is selected from the best vineyards to create this wine, harvested manually around the end of August and brought to the cellar for pressing. The musts are clarified and inoculated with selected yeasts, fermentation is conducted at controlled temperatures and lasts for about 15 days. Subsequently, the Chardonnay wines rest in steel and wood for a few months until blending, creating the cuvée before bottling and the addition of sugars and yeast for refermentation. Franciacorta method wines undergo a second fermentation in the bottle which allows the development of the beloved bubbles. After refermentation, the Saten Barone Pizzini rests on its own yeasts for 40 months before disgorgement (the uncorking of the bottle and recorking with the typical mushroom-shaped sparkling wine cork). Pairings: Franciacorta Barone Pizzini Saten is a pleasant and elegant wine, excellent as an aperitif accompanied by Parmigiano Reggiano or traditional cured meats like Culatello.
