Description
Falesco Montiano is the flagship product of the Falesco winery, acclaimed since its inception as one of the greatest and most innovative Italian reds. It is the result of a blend of Merlot grapes planted by grafting experts from Montpellier in a land traditionally dedicated to white grape varieties. The Merlot grapes are harvested at perfect phenolic ripeness and brought to the winery for vinification. The Merlot undergoes fermentation with maceration for 15 days with numerous punch-downs and is previously bled by about 20% to achieve a more pronounced concentration. Subsequently, Falesco Montiano is separated from the skins and aged in French Allier oak barrels for 12 months before blending and bottling. Pairings: Falesco Montiano is suitable for pairing with traditional red meat and game dishes.
