Description
Millè Franciacorta Villa Crespia Brut is a Franciacorta DOCG wine produced by the Villa Crespia winery of the Arcipelago Muratori group. Millè Franciacorta Villa Crespia Brut is a wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, making it a blanc de blanc of elegance and finesse. The Chardonnay grapes are typically harvested around mid-August to early September. Once in the winery, the Chardonnay grapes are gently pressed and the musts are vinified in steel at a controlled temperature. Millè Franciacorta Villa Crespia Brut is a Franciacorta DOCG wine produced with a different philosophy compared to traditional ones. The base Chardonnay wine remains in steel tanks aging on its fine lees for 30 months before blending and bottling with the addition of sugars and yeasts for refermentation. This period in steel tanks on the fine lees adds complexity to the wine as regular batonnages allow for an increase in the structure and finesse of the base wine. After refermentation in the bottle, Millè Franciacorta Villa Crespia Brut ages for 30 months before being released to the market. Pairings: Millè Franciacorta Villa Crespia Brut is perfect with fish and shellfish dishes, and pairs well with aperitif moments. Storage: Store at 16-18°C Alcohol content: 13.0% Vintage: 2019 Designation: Franciacorta DOCG Aging: In steel for 30 months and in bottle for another 30 months.
