Description
Monte Alto Franciacorta Saten is the Franciacorta wine from the Monte Alto winery in Clusane in Franciacorta on Lake Iseo. This saten comes from vineyards located on the northeast slope of Monte Alto overlooking the Lake, where the calcareous soils and the particular microclimate make the area particularly suited for cultivation. Monte Alto Franciacorta Saten was conceived to combine the depth and elegance of Chardonnay, expressing the territory of origin. The grapes are hand-picked around the beginning of September and brought to the winery for a gentle pressing. The musts are fractioned into first and second pressings and fermented partly in steel and partly in third and fourth passage wood. After fermentation, the Franciacorta wines remain on the lees until the spring following the harvest before being assembled and bottled after the addition of sugar and yeast, which will allow the second fermentation to take place inside the bottle and the appearance of bubbles. After at least 19 months of rest in the bottle, Monte Alto Franciacorta Extra Brut is disgorged and released to the market. Pairings: Monte Alto Franciacorta Saten is a wine to be enjoyed throughout the meal, excellent with seafood and lake appetizers. Perfect pairing also with fish first courses and tempura. Excellent with aged hard cheese like Parmigiano Reggiano. Storage: Store at 16-18°C Alcohol content: 12.5% Vintage: 2019 Denomination: Franciacorta DOCG Aging: In bottle for 19 months.
