Description
Nebbiolo Langhe DOC La Spinetta is a wine produced with Nebbiolo grapes by the La Spinetta winery in Piedmont. The Nebbiolo used to produce this wine comes from the Barbaresco Starderi cru from vines that are about 20-25 years old. The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-picked around mid-October and brought to the winery for vinification. After destemming, the Nebbiolo clusters are transferred to steel vats for alcoholic fermentation, which occurs at a temperature of about 25-28°C for 10 days, during which frequent pump-overs and delestages allow the diffusion of polyphenolic and aromatic compounds from the skins to the wine. Subsequently, the Nebbiolo Langhe DOC La Spinetta is separated from the skins and aged in second-passage French oak barriques for 12 months before the final blending and bottling. Pairings: Nebbiolo Langhe DOC La Spinetta is a perfect wine to pair with pasta dishes with meat sauces, main courses like grilled or even braised meats. Excellent with typical Piedmontese cheeses like Castelmagno. Storage: Store at 16-18°C Alcohol content: 14.0% Vintage: 2023 Designation: Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Aging: In barriques for 12 months.
