Description
Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Alturis is a wine produced with Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes grown in Friuli Venezia Giulia in the vineyards of the Alturis Estate. The Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes are hand-picked in September and brought to the winery for crushing. The musts ferment with the skins in steel tanks for about 15 days at a controlled temperature of 25°C. During this maceration period, the substances from the skin diffuse into the must-wine, enriching it in terms of color, structure, and aromas, while the sugars in the must transform into alcohol. After fermentation, the Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Alturis wine is separated from the skins and placed in 5 HL tonneaux for a short period before blending and bottling.
