Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Castello di Semivicoli is a special cru from the Masciarelli winery that vinifies this grape in purity, produced in this vineyard in the municipality of Casacanditella, located at 300 meters above sea level with a north/northeast exposure. The soil composition and the microclimate of this area make it perfect for the ideal ripening of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, which is harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. The grapes are brought to the cellar and destemmed to undergo cold maceration. This process involves low-temperature contact between the skins and the must in an oxygen-free environment to transfer aromatic compounds from the skins to the must, which are then found in the wine. Subsequently, pressing and separation of the skins from the must take place. The musts ferment in steel and age for a few months on their fine lees before bottling. Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Castello di Semivicoli is not marketed before two years from bottling, as bottle aging makes it even more elegant. Pairings: Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Castello di Semivicoli is an elegant and structured wine with fresh characteristics that make it perfect to pair with appetizers and first courses based on seafood. However, its body also allows it to be paired with very flavorful dishes seasoned with mushrooms or truffle, as well as with cheeses, including aged and flavorful ones. Storage: Store at 16-18°C Alcohol content: 14.5% Vintage: 2021 Aging: In steel
