Tuna Salami (Ficazza) is a true cured meat, a typical Sicilian product from the province of Trapani. The tuna meat is minced and, after being salted and peppered, is stuffed into a casing which is then placed on a wooden board and pressed for about 20 days. The Tuna Salami (Ficazza) is then dried in the sun and in ventilated environments for about 40 days before being marketed in its fresh version. The product offered is a tuna salami aged for 24 months, a very large Ficazza that is very difficult to find in any delicatessen store.\n\nPairings: Tuna Salami (Ficazza) has a very intense flavor, in Sicily it is used as an appetizer or aperitif, served sliced with a drizzle of oil and a drop of lemon.\n\nStorage: Store in the refrigerator, Ficazza is a product that, if vacuum-sealed in the refrigerator, can last up to a year.
