Designation: Franciacorta DOCG Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay Name: Franciacorta Alcohol: 12.5° Volume: 0.75L Production Area: Capriolo (BS), Lombardy, Italy Description: Soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine is kept in contact with the lees through a batonage operation for another 6 months. Subsequently, the Franciacorta is prepared for tirage, which initiates the bottle fermentation and aging on the lees for an average of 30 months. Bright golden straw color, very fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it presents notes of ripe fruit and white flowers, which shift to aromatic herbs first and then to mineral. On the palate, it is fresh and fleshy, soft, and finishes persistently on delicate tones of hazelnut and vanilla.
