Denomination: Barbaresco DOCG Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo Name: Montersino Alcohol: 15° Volume: 0.75L Production Area: Madonna di Como, Alba (CN), Piedmont, Italy Description: The vinification is done in a traditional manner with submerged cap. Fermentation is conducted at a controlled temperature of about 28°C for the optimal period. It is aged in French oak barrels for about 24 months. The color is intense garnet red in its youth, acquiring delicate orange reflections over time. On the nose, it reveals a bouquet of fruity aromas reminiscent of all forest fruits, from raspberry to blackberry to plum, and over time it can develop interesting spicy notes. On the palate, it is round with elegant tannins, a balance of red fruit, plum, blackberries, spicy notes, and tobacco. Its main characteristics are elegance and a particularly sophisticated taste. Recommended pairing with pasta with meat ragù or risottos, red meats, roasts, game, braised dishes, and well-aged cheeses. Serving temperature 18-20°C.
