Denomination: Terre Siciliane IGP Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon Grape Variety: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon Name: Al Mio Amico Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon Alcohol: 14.5° Volume: 0.75L Production Area: Slopes of Mount Jato, Monreale (PA), Sicily, Italy Description: Manual harvesting of the grapes, the vinification of this "Bordeaux blend" is done using traditional methods, processed with a long maceration in contact with the skins at a fermentation temperature of about 28° C. Maturation takes place in stainless steel containers for about 5/6 months, followed by a passage in barriques for another 9 months and subsequently refined in the bottle for about 12 months. The color is carmine red with clear garnet reflections. On the nose, fruity, floral, herbaceous, and spicy notes are perceived, with hints of currant, plums, cherries, and blackberries, of violet and vanilla, and wafts of black pepper, chocolate, walnuts, and tobacco, with a balsamic finish. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, dry, warm, soft, moderately fresh and tannic, with a soft, delicate, intense, and persistent finish. Recommended pairing with cured meats, aged cheeses, first and second courses based on meat and mushrooms, grilled dishes. Serving temperature: 18-20° C
