Chianti Classico Badia a Passignano. The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Badia a Passignano by Antinori is born in vineyards located in the heart of the DOCG Chianti Classico. It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested and meticulously selected by hand between the end of September and the first week of October. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks for about 10 days, with maceration on the skins for an additional 10-12 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in Hungarian oak barriques and further in the bottle before being released on the market. Aromas of Chianti. Ruby-colored wine, with garnet reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of plum and blackberry, notes of violet and hints of licorice. On the palate, it is warm, enveloping, sumptuously soft and has velvety tannins. Long-lasting persistence.
