The company is family-run: Luigi, his wife, and the two children are all involved in the project and personally manage all the phases that lead to the birth of Brunello di Montalcino in the classic style. The Sangiovese grapes of Ventolaio ferment without the use of commercial yeasts on their own skins for 30 days in steel tanks. The aging is as traditional as it gets in the denomination: 48 months in Slavonian oak barrels of 30 hl. An intense, broad, and fruity nose precedes an elegant palate with long persistence, silky tannins, and good freshness.
