Concerto di Fonterutoli 2016 Mazzei (2016)

Concerto di Fonterutoli The "Concerto" was born in 1981 on the wave of a viticulture aware of an untapped potential, experimenting with new forms of cultivation and new blends including non-native varieties; it was one of the forerunners and major protagonists of the so-called "Super Tuscans" phenomenon. The Concerto is produced from vineyards with 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon trained in Spurred Cordon and Guyot, in a structured soil due to the disintegration of alberese and galestro rocks. The grapes, strictly hand-picked, are left to macerate for 14 to 18 days. Maturation takes place over 18 months in small French oak barrels, and it is subsequently bottled in February 2017. This wine is a true legend, produced by the Mazzei family, who have been making unique wines with soul and passion for over six hundred years. The wines of this company are born from a philosophy passed down from generation to generation, aiming to enhance native grape varieties to express the identity of the Tuscan territory. Paying attention and respect to diversity and nature, adopting sustainable agriculture with careful measures to maintain the balance of the land. Don't miss this fantastic Tuscan Wine!
