Description
The Riserva Vino Nobile di Montepulciano BIO DOCG 2015 from the Salcheto winery is a wine vinified using the "Governo Toscano" method from Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile grapes in slight over-ripening from drying, aged for 24 months in large and small barrels, and then refined for at least 12 months in glass. The 2015 vintage is undoubtedly one of the most impressive of its decade. It was marked by significant thermal stress in August, which particularly influenced acidity levels. The result is "drink and eat" wines, fleshy and soft, to be enjoyed perhaps over a shorter time horizon.
