Description
The Salco Vino Nobile di Montepulciano BIO DOCG 2015 from the Salcheto winery is a wine from the company's oldest vineyard, the Salco. It is obtained thanks to a clone of Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile that easily reaches a slight overripeness with each harvest. After 2 years in wood, it ages for 4 years in the bottle. The 2015 vintage turned out to have a relatively balanced climate for the area, characterized by an extremely hot August that significantly tempered the acidity: the result was fleshy and decidedly soft wines, practically "drink and eat" wines. The Salco, vinified with only indigenous yeasts and without added sulfites, interprets this vintage with elegance and freshness thanks to the Salcheto pedoclimate, from clayey soils to wide temperature variations.
