The super soft pillow is entirely made of GOTS certified Bio Cotton, both in the outer cover and the filling. Organic or biological cotton refers to cotton derived from non-genetically modified plants, cultivated without the use of synthetic chemical products such as fertilizers or pesticides, but only natural products. Its production also promotes and enhances biodiversity and biological cycles in cotton plantations that must meet the requirements imposed by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). The goal of GOTS is to establish internationally the requirements that fabrics must meet to obtain the "organic" status. This concerns both the production process and the harvesting and processing. In general, we can say that the production of organic cotton involves: using animal and plant-based fertilizers; eliminating pests using antagonistic insects; removing weeds with tractors, hoes, or by hand; using exclusively seeds resulting from at least four germinations without chemical treatments.
