Cut the cherries in half and remove the pit, or slice the preferred fruit.
In a non-stick pan, melt the butter, add a sprinkle of sugar, and arrange all the cherries.
In a bowl, combine the egg, sugar, vanilla extract, melted butter, milk and mix.
Also add sifted flour and baking powder and mix again with a whisk.
Pour the batter over the cherries and add the spoonfuls of jam.
